Remote Learning updates, documents and information Jan 2021
Firstly thank you for your patience and for your overwhelming messages of support. It has genuinely been appreciated during these continually challenging times. As a school, we have frequently had a number of guidance documents shared with us at very short notice which has meant our communications with you may have suffered.
Today we have updated our remote learning information /194/covid-remote-learningnbsp which now has a detailed step-by-step guide to Google Classrooms allowing access to all lessons, and documents outlining what you can expect during this period of remote learning. Links will be provided on SMHW*. The school remains partially open as it has done previously to support our vulnerable students and those children of critical workers.
In summary, your daughter will follow her current timetable and will be expected to be online for the following times from Tuesday 5th January 2020:
8.30-9am – Tutor time
9-10.30am – Lesson 1
11 – 12.30pm –Lesson 2
1.10-2:40pm* – Lesson 3
Your daughter will be required to complete some independent tasks within the lessons and our teachers will be doing a mix of taught and online support within each lesson as they would if they were teaching in the classroom.
Please ensure that your daughter has the equipment that she requires and if you have any queries we have a clear contact list at the end of the page.
Thank you for continued support. We are currently finalising our public health skills and will be in further contact in due course about mass testing @HSG.
Please stay safe.
*This post was amended on 5/1/2021 to correct a timing misprint and to clarify links would be on SMHW as outlined in Remote-Learning-Jan21-1.3-1.pdf
