On Wednesday, a group of year 9 students recently took part in the First Give Charity Project Final. This was a project where each group represented a charity of their choice. All five groups participated in a social action to raise awareness about their charity as well as holding fundraisers. They students outlaid their plans in from of chosen judges which included the like of Ahmed Mahbub - The Mayor of Haringey, Matt Turtle founder of museum of Homelessness, Milica Milosevic (Haringey Giving), Ms Peddie (Y11 SLT), Clara L Head Girl and Maysarah Deputy Head Girl.

It was fantastic to see the girls speak on topics close to their heart, also incredibly uses technology including animations they put together to convey the importance of their chosen charity. The winning group received £1000 towards their charity. Which was a local London based charity - Mind, their combined expertise looks to reach across London with quality services, which are accessible. Mayor Mahbub, noted how impressed he was with the level of presentation skills of all the students who had presented at the final. Huge congratulations to all the students in year 9 who took part.
