Hornsey School for Girls HSA
Hornsey Girls HSA
The Hornsey School for Girls’ Home School Association (HSA) restarted in Spring 2023 after a long period of inactivity triggered by Covid.
All parents and carers of pupils at Hornsey School for Girls are automatically members of the HSA. It is run by an enthusiastic committee of parent and carer volunteers and is a registered charity, no.1120407.
The HSA exists to both raise money to enrich your child’s school experience and to help build the wider school community. Funds raised in the past have helped to fund a variety of things including more recently an outdoor canopy in the school grounds. The HSA equally wants to help develop closer links between home and school - it is an excellent way to bring parents, carers and the community together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal. It runs fundraising and community building events during the year and provides refreshments at school events such as the Winter Show. The HSA will also be hosting regular pre-loved uniform sales.
Please contact the HSA at hello@hornseygirlsha.org if you have ideas of things you’d like to do, if you could give some time to volunteer at one of its events, or have any particular skills you may be able to contribute (eg designers, creatives, music, catering, IT or tech skills), or if you have contacts who could donate prizes for raffles or give inspirational speeches for pupils. From time to time the HSA will invite parents/carers to complete a survey to ask your views on HSA activities. Please keep an eye out for these on Edulink and contribute as your views will be really helpful to shape the future of your HSA.
The HSA holds committee meetings each half term to help to plan and run its activities. Please contact the HSA if you want to raise an issue for consideration at these. It also holds an annual general meeting (AGM) each year where committee members are elected afresh and which gives an opportunity to mark the HSA’s achievements throughout the year.
