Haringey Family Mediation Service
What is Family Mediation?
The Haringey Family Mediation Service is for young people aged 16-25 and their families who live in the Haringey borough. It's a free service that works with families where a young person is either homeless or there's a risk that they could become homeless due to family conflict.
The Haringey Family Mediation Service aims to help families resolve conflict in order to improve relationships with one another.
- It's impartial and non judgemental - a family mediator won't take sides or decide who is right or wrong. The aim is to help families come up with solutions that feel right for them.
- It's a voluntary service so it's up to you whether you take part or not and works best when everyone taking part feels motivated to improve their relationships.
- The service is confidential unless you disclose something that the mediator believes indicates that you or someone else is at risk of harm.
