A show stopping finale to be proud of for Hornsey Sixth Form College

Congratulations to the class of 2020 whose character, determination and ability to dream big have paid off as they collect their results. Against the immensely challenging backdrop of a global pandemic resulting in profound changes to everyday life never experienced before, we are proud to celebrate with our amazing students who remain routed to the fact that education does change life chances. Thank you to the incredible commitment and innovation of our fantastic staff body and everyone in the school community who ensured our students continued to receive the highest levels of support during this unprecedented time. United by a sense of community and social justice Hornsey Sixth Form students are ready to make a difference within The NHS, Education and International Relations to name but a few. We couldn’t be prouder of this final cohort of our students who have excelled as the final curtain comes down on the College aspect of the school.  Hornsey School for Girls continues to focus on its 11-16 provision as one of the consistently highest performing schools in the borough.

Top achiever Viviana gets ready for UCL to study Politics and International Relations. Motivated to ‘make a difference’ City University will be welcoming Sukran who will be studying Radiotherapy. Having seen her father have cancer Sukran is keen to, “help people and support the NHS”. Aquila is destined for Queen Mary University to read English Language and Linguistics and has hopes of becoming a leading light in the education field.

Ms Hewitt Assistant Headteacher said "We are exceptionally proud of our students, especially given that they ended their school career at Hornsey under such challenging and unprecedented circumstances. Many of these students have been with us since year 7 and they will be dearly missed.  We are pleased to see that so many of our students have achieved everything they deserved after all their hard work and wish them all the happiness in the world."

Acting Headteacher Angela Rooke added ‘I am so very proud of the determination of our students and staff as we all prepare for the future. The skills our students take with them are guaranteed to give them a successful foundation on which to go and change the world. We know they will be hugely successful in the next stages of their careers and education. Well done all on behalf of all of us at the school – this is a perfect ending to our amazing college provision’
