Award Winning Careers and Employability Skills!
What a way to start the new school term!
Hornsey School for Girls are delighted that the Skillsbuilder Programme at the school has been externally assessed and we continue to be part of an elite team of Silver Award winners for our Careers and Employability skills embedded throughout our curriculum.
From year 7 to 11, students are exposed to a full broad programme of opportunities to learn and develop skills such as creativity, problem solving and collaboration. The school has recently started to work across the parental network with the HSA to provide a series of inspirational speakers from a range of different industries to share their unique journeys with students.
Assistant Headteacher Ms Fari said 'Students and staff at the school really do go above and beyond our expectations with how well they have embedded skills and careers throughout the school. This award is testament to how collaboratively the school works on ensuring students are successful in their personal and professional lives'
Headteacher Ms Rahelu added 'Skillsbuilder gives everyone a framework to excel and we are delighted that this silver award reflects our commitment to developing and supporting students being successful as they consider their future career paths'
The Silver Award is presented to the school for the second time and is awarded for years 2024-2027
Thank you to staff and students for all your work to achieve this.
