We were delighted that the weather was a really temperate and balmy 27 degrees as we welcomed our new cohort of year 7 and their families, alongside our established year groups for our 21st Summer Concert. 

The school catering team supported with food, and our lovely volunteers from the HSA were on hand with a pre-loved uniform sale and providing the drinks and refreshments for our school community. Lots of funds were raised for the school as a result so thank you for your generous contributions. 

The evening began with Green Group, and over the course of the hour, we were serenaded by a broad medley of songs from different genres, beautifully curated by the talented Chris Storey. Celebrating his 21 years alongside Ms Rooke, he was suitably sent off for a period of extended absence. 

We couldn't leave the event without thanking all of our staff, Ms Rooke for her organisation, Dina and the catering team,  our site team, but really, each and every performer and their families for sharing our space together and celebrating Steel Pans. 

A final plug for our community group! We will be launching it again in October so there is plenty of time to consider if you can commit to it (you can!)
