International women...start as international girls!
We just wanted to thank our amazing student leader team - they've been a brilliant example of the potential in every child.
International Women's Day (IWD) has been around for over a hundred years, as have many of the issues still impacting women's advancement. Since 1911, IWD belongs to all who care about women's equality. Its a day to celebrate women's achievement and raise awareness about discrimination.
This years theme was #Accelerate Action. A worldwide call to acknowledge strategies, resources, and activity that positively impact women's advancement, and to support and elevate their implementation. Significant barriers to gender equality remain, yet with the right action and support, positive progress can be made for women everywhere.
Shown here is some of the student leaders who devised, created and delivered assemblies for International Women's Day over the last two weeks.
Ms O'Sullivan, our amazing LRC manager created a brilliant display supported by the team both shown and not!
