We've heard you....a review of contacts and parental feedback

Thank you to all our parents and students who continue to share thoughts, ideas and feelings. We remain open to you and your contact is critical to us. As a school we have had various communications which we have reviewed and are sharing this with you today in preparation for the next few weeks.

Our DOLs, tutors and support staff have had a number of queries raised about the amount of screen time students have had with our remote learning programme. This is a difficult line to manage. We are legally required by law to offer a minimum time per day to remote learning, which has to be delivered via a screen. However, we want to work with families and do not want to add to your pressures you are currently managing. After feedback from parents, each individual tutor group will move to a bespoke programme of contact which will involve a combination of phone calls and tutor time to allow us to support each child. This will be reviewed in two weeks, please do contact fenella.hewitt@hornseyschool.com with your comments during this time, positive or negative so we can continue to adapt and achieve the right balance for our community.

These are challenging times for all. We have a number of agencies we can refer you to if you need any additionally support and are signposting the following to you if they can help:
