We were delighted to be hosting Mr Leo Powell as an outside speaker to raise awareness of the dangers of County Lines in our society. 

Leo joined us for assemblies with years 9, 10 and 11 to share age appropriate information around how the dangers of county lines, grooming and safeguarding can impact young people and how they can leverage their choices to support their own wellbeing.  Leo's assemblies and talks are uniquely designed to safeguard young people from being groomed and exploited into this dangerous world of drugs, potential violence and more.

On display was his unique style of delivery, and the perfect balance of seriousness and humour, Leo was clearly able to connect and educate our students in an age appropriate way. His website, for students and parents/ carers interested is available here https://www.leopowell.co.uk/

Students were reminded that they can come and see Ms Graham, their Director of Learning or their student support officers if the assembly raised any concerns or worries for them or thier friends. With thanks to Haringey Council for thier support and funding to allow us to access this amazing resource and supplement our own pastoral programme.
