We were delighted to host the very first lunchtime 'Talk Tuesday' this term with our brilliant HSA network on show. 

Over 60 students came to hear from Kerry Smith, CEO of the Helen Bamber Trust. 

Kerry shared her own journey to leading the Helen Bamber Foundation and it was an inspirational walk through an exceptional set of experiences. Its important for students to recognise that when choosing a career or field to work in, that sometimes the choices made wont neccesarily result in linear progression. 

Starting in the Refugee Legal Centre, Kerry's career path took her to working in Ethiopa and Columbia before moving back to the UK to wotj with Amnesty International. Outlining experiences like having guns pulled on her as part of her own work was amazing. A huge advocate for Girls education throughour her career then led to working with Plan international before reaching her current role within the Helen Bamber Foundation - a group which exists to ensure Survivors get the support they need.
