Winter Twist

Thank you to the 250 students and the 470 families who attended our Winter Twist - Images are available now on the site previously known as twitter. They will also be on the gallery section of the website and on Facebook shortly - with a small selection at the bottom of this article.

The evening was created and developed by Ms Rooke - our Deputy Headteacher but also interim Head of Performing Arts for this term. A host of other staff joined her in developing and devising an opportunity for students to show off their many talents.

Our Creative Arts team, lead by Ms Peddie, showed their entrepreneurial sprit by making and selling their own objects or cakes, the year 11 prom committee sold a range of different foods.

We could not produce anything like this without our Performing Arts team. Mr Bashford led the Choir and supported our musicians including the year 10 band, Ms Keflom & Mr Warwick showed off the drama, and Ms White and Ms Jamerah showed why Dance and our Impulse Dance Company has been revised and re-launched and we couldn't ever ever do a show without our amazing pans teacher Mr Storey.

Our expanding HSA provided much needed refreshments, and if that wasn't enough, the other activities kept everyone fully entertained - be it reindeer, marshmallows, stalls or colouring!

Thank you for supporting us, supporting the students raising money but most of all, for having the most talented creative amazing children! We often describe them as having limitless talent and potential - all of which was on show yesterday evening. Thank you to the many staff volunteers who stayed, supported and supervised.

We had a fantastic evening and planning begins for our next event...soon!
