GCSE Success continues with the most resilient cohort ever!

Img 2330We are proud once more of the amazing results our students have attained despite all the challenges of the last three years. As with previous years, we balance our ambitious culture of achievement with an equal commitment to the mental wellbeing and resilience of our school community as a whole.

36% of students gained 9-7 grades with over 460 Grades 7-9 across the cohort. They’ve achieved an exceptional set of grades across all disciplines with 100% of the cohort having the required grades for their next steps – be this further study, apprenticeships, or work.

Headteacher Kuljit Rahelu said ‘I can’t explain how phenomenally proud I am of this cohort of students and our exceptional staff team. For three years this cohort of students have had the most challenging of educational experiences. We live and breathe our motto when we say ‘the better prepared the stronger’ and these results today prove this.’

Subjects maintained standards held over a number of years with 9-5 grades in English, Citizenship, Dance, French, History, and Media comfortably over 70%.

    Stand out individual performances include

Aaisha F – achieving ten grade 9’s Bonnie G – achieving nine grade 9’s and one grade 8 Rosa K and Katherine both achieving eight grade 9’s

Aaisha, who gained 10 grade 9’s across all her subjects, was a little shocked. Arriving with support from her mum and little brother, she said ‘this is unbelievable’. She is looking forward to moving onto A Level study at Woodhouse College

Chair of Governors, Anita Yiannoullou, added: ‘Congratulations to our students and families and our whole staff team. Another amazing exam results day in the hardest of contexts. Everyone can be rightly proud of their outcomes and how they’ve managed themselves during the last three years in education.’
