Soaring to infinite heights

As the RAF, the oldest independent air force in the world, takes to the skies to celebrate its 100th anniversary, we look up in awe at what this organisation has achieved. As Hornsey School for Girls celebrates its 130th year we are privileged to be part of these momentous celebrations; a unique opportunity as one of only 10 schools in the country to be involved.

At Hornsey we have been working with the RAF, BAE systems and the Royal Navy as part our Enterprise and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) programme to transform the lives of our young women whilst preparing them for the unimaginable new careers of the future.

Ms Rooke and Ms Peddie were present at Horseguards parade to see the historic flyby of 100 planes over Buckingham Palace. They represent not only our ongoing commitment to broaden girls into STEM careers with new and developing partnerships in this field.
