Performing Arts (Dance, Drama, PE, Music)

The Performing Arts department’s vision is in line with the school's. We aim to foster a love of learning through the separate disciplines that make up the department - PE, Dance, Drama and Music.

The varied curriculum offered by the department aims to develop student’s technical, creative, performing and analytical/observational skills by working individually, in pairs and in groups. We offer all students the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities culminating in performances to parents and local primary schools.

We encourage students to co-operate and work together across the department to keep each other safe, to encourage mutual respect and to develop confidence in working with and performing to other people.

Facilities

We have purpose-built classroom areas and studios for PE, Dance, Drama and Music. The department is staffed by subject specialists in each area. 

We are committed to offering a range of extra-curricular activities and all students have access to perfoming arts across the key stages.
