Safety First!

Thank you to all year 10 parents who contacted us and completed the survey to support planning for further online interactions and developments as we seek clarity from the government on next steps. Our biggest concern remains wellbeing and safety. We will keep parents and carers advised of next steps. Please be aware that we have remained open for the whole duration of the lockdown to support our keyworkers and vulnerable students. In mid to late June we are likely to be widening our doors to others, dependent on guidance, but there are a number of issues to consider prior to that.

This week is our last week of this term. We will not be updating our work grid for the week beginning the 1st June, instead, we'll put up some specific activities from departments for over the half term and ask students to reflect/review previous tasks set. As a reminder, we set work with the expectation that students will engage with what they feel able to undertake at that point. Throughout this period of time we have stressed that we want all things in balance. That remains our key message, wellbeing first, academics second.

Our digital online learning will continue and develop, and its really positive to see so many students engaging in our assemblies. Thank you for taking part in these and making it possible for us to see each other in these strangest of times.

This week is also mental health awareness week - please continue to take care of yourselves and each other. As a reminder, we have a number of resources to support wellbeing available /190/latest-news/post/179/wellbeing-info-for-our-school-community-march-25th-2020 in this post.
