Come and join us!

We were delighted this week to open our doors to the community and prospective parents with our open evening events. Every year we work harder on our partnerships with our primaries, and these evenings are the culmination of our partnerships. We take students from across Haringey, with a proportion also applying to us from Islington, Enfield and Barnet.  As the only girls state school in Haringey, our catchment area is open to all.  This means our transition programme has to respond to the needs of students that come from over 58 different primary schools, and for this reason, our transition programme starts in March and events and around teambuilding and communication take place throughout the year.

We know we have a fantastic forum for our students to excel in the many opportunities offered to them through their time with us. Our new student leadership format will be one of our new year 7’s first experiences of participating in an accredited programme around their leadership skills for example, and it will be the first of many expansive opportunities the school and depts. will offer our young people.

The open events continue this week with our open mornings. This allows us to show the difference that great teaching and learning makes, not on one off occasions, but day in day out across the subject areas. If you know parents who are interested, please ask them to attend one of our 4 open mornings, which begin on Tuesday 10th. This will allow prospective parents and students to see us in action, to speak more in depth with our tour guides, and to confirm why we are one of the most successful schools in the UK.

Every teacher in the school is passionate about educating our children to the best of their ability, for the next two weeks, our doors are open to share this.
